About me

Hello, I am Nastasia Freeman, LMHC, CCTP, CIMHP. I am a Licensed Psychotherapist that is Certified in Clinical Trauma & Certified in Integrative Mental Health. I specialize in Trauma, Anxiety, Attachment, & Relationships affected by Trauma and PTSD. I am also a Gottman Leader issued by The Gottman Institute that teaches and facilitates The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work Couples Program.

I am committed to delivering a space where people feel safe & comfortable enough to heal, expand their perspective, and be authentically themselves. I strive to engage in a way that is healing for the individual, the collective, and the environment.

I take a holistic and integrative approach to therapy that is evidence-based and evidence-led—therapy that addresses the whole person and places the client at the center of their treatment plan vs. their diagnosis. Your treatment plan will be individualized. I systematically examine your biological, psychological, and social factors and their complex interactions to identify what influences your mental health. I take a holistic and integrative approach because without considering the whole person, you can’t completely understand its complexities and without considering the research and evidence we can’t treat them.

A holistic and integrative approach that is evidence-based and evidence-led enhances treatment effectiveness.

It is important that before you take the leap to begin therapy, you feel that I am the right fit. After all, you are planning to start to explore some of your deepest thoughts, emotions, and experiences to someone you just met.

My approach to therapy is that there is no one size fits all approach. Your experiences are individual to you; which is why I will spend a lot of time getting to know you and what your journey to therapy has looked like. We will explore past relationships, experiences, and emotional and physical symptoms that have impacted you.

I assess the whole person—not just one part of you or one experience. I tend to explore the past to gain insight into who you are currently. When I begin to identify common themes that have impacted your sense of safety, trust, security, and overall well-being, we heal the very reason they exist. The goal is to get you to a place where you no longer feel internal conflict, and instead you feel total alignment emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

I have developed my private practice to reflect the definition of humanity— the collectiveness of humankind and living amongst and connecting with others empathetically and with compassion.

Yes, I have the credentials and expertise—but most importantly I want my clients to know that while I’m an expert in mental health and I apply evidence based practices within therapy, there is no greater technique or practice than humanity. My practice is founded upon it.

Know all the theories, master all
the techniques, but as you touch a
human soul be just another
human soul.
- C. G. Jung
